WSU’s Floyd discusses the relationship between tuition, financial aid and state support

In an op–ed piece in today’s Seattle Times, Washington State University President and former HECB Executive Director Elson Floyd argues that giving institutions greater flexibility to set tuition is only one part of the solution to the challenges facing higher education.  Stopping the “tuition spiral” and reinstating access as a cornerstone of the state’s higher education policy also must be addressed.
